Texas QB Colt McCoy suffered a shoulder abrasion on the Longhorns’ fourth offensive play and did not return. In this photo, his girlfriend, Rachel Glandorf appears nervous on the right, his father is in the middle, and his mother, crestfallen, has buried her head in her hands on the left. Texas trailed 24-21 with two minutes remaining and had possession abysmal in their own end. Alabama defeated Texas 37-21 and the Crimson Tide are National Champions. Alabama linebacker Eryk Anders came from the blind side unmolested and accomplished Texas QB Garrett Gilbert - the Tide’s first sack of the game - and forced a fumble. The final score was deceptive. The Tide recovered and Mark Ingram scored three plays later to seal the victory.
